Lauderdale, pushing straight through a classic South Florida torrential downpour on the way up, and cruising back on wet yet sun-drenched streets along the beach and causeway. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised by how remarkably composed and fun it felt cutting through standing water and coastal breezes.

INSIDE

For taller drivers like me, subcompact interiors can often feel restrictive, but the Seltos provides a generous 40.0 inches of front headroom and 41.4 inches of front legroom, allowing plenty of space to stretch out without feeling cramped. The seating is supportive and well-cushioned for long commutes, available with SynTex synthetic leather upholstery, 10-way power adjustment, and heated front seats that enhance daily comfort. Outward visibility is exceptional due to the tall glasshouse and slim roof pillars, while the overhead sunroof floods the cabin with natural light to create an open, airy atmosphere. The dashboard is dominated by an available dual 10.25-inch panoramic display that arches gracefully across the instrument cluster and center stack, highlighted by ambient lighting and refined chrome accent trim.

I actually turned the drive into a game, training myself to feather the throttle and game the efficiency readouts to see just how much performance and range I could squeeze out of every drop of fuel. Watching the MPG tick upward while carving up causeway curves proved that economic driving doesn't have to be boring—it can be downright addictive.
