The Chevy Suburban High Country Ride Experience

Its big, bold and powerful. It looks good but has some serious competition. Still, its among the tops in its class and now we know why. We test drove the Chevy Suburban High Country and we've got some insight from that amazing experience as well as our own research to get it right.

Let's start with upgrades. The 2023 Chevy Suburban is impressive with its Super Cruise hands-free driving tech available on Premier and High Country trim levels. New exterior colors such as Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat are now available.

This is one dynamic vehicle that we truly enjoyed from start to finish. There's much to enjoy. For instance, the comfort is all that and a bag of chips. The premium sound system, leather seats, power rear seats, and Magnetic Ride Control all add up to a solid and enjoyable experience. The adaptive four-corner air ride suspension and a more powerful V8 engine, model-specific grille, larger wheels, a head-up display are cool. The unique interior appointments adds to the impressive items that stack the deck in its favor.

The drive is solid as well. The 5.3 l V8 VVT carries dynamic fuel management and stop-start capacity. It produces 355 horsepower 385 lb of torque and also a 6.2 l V8 with dynamic fuel management and stock start that version has 420 horsepower and 460 lb of torque. No question about it, that's way more than enough,. The 3 l dual overhead cam I6 turbo diesel making $277 horsepower and 460 lb feet of torque.

You ride with total comfort and confidence on the 22-in cast aluminum that standard on the high country and premiere. These are all season tires. Sitting high is great for vision and confidence with lots of ground clearance and the air ride makes a big difference.

Its certainly a premium value. High Country Premium Package - Includes (CF5) power sunroof, (RPT) 22" painted aluminum wheels with Chrome inserts, (XCE) 275/50R22SL all-season, blackwall tires and (RIA) floor liner, LPO. $2,625.

Some of the things that make this drive so much better is the independent rear suspension and first in class four corner air ride adaptive suspension that is available on the Z71 and the high country that we tested. It also has the magnetic Ride control which is standard on the premier and high country and available on the rst and the z71.

Chevy also brings select driver assistance features like automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, Lane keep assist, Lane departure warnings, and following distance indicator which is something I had to learn to adjust to. And then there's the front pedestrian braking and intellibean high Auto games. There's the available adaptive cruise control, HD surround vision, a 15-in diagonal heads up display that protrudes from the middle, and the rear camera mirror as well as a rear pedestrian alert.

Considering the numerous luxury features, bold look, high-quality interior, premium cabin technology and powerful engine, the Chevrolet Silverado High Country is worth the costg for buyers seeking a superior truck that excels in towing, hauling and off-roading, all while maintaining the luxury feel.

The High Country includes a 15-inch head-up display, HD surround vision, and rear camera mirror with washer. The Premier trim offers a safety alert seat, perforated leather seating, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert.

I like the fact that this vehicle has a Best in class Max cargo capacity of 144.7 cubic feet and Max trailering at $8,300 lb. Those are impressive features in a very competitive segment. We suggest you take a look at it, take a test drive like we did ands let us know what you think.

Check out the Chevy Blazer- What a treat!

We had an opportunity to drive this beautiful SUV around the streets, highways and back roads of South Florida, from Miami to Fort Lauderdale and everything in between. Oh and there was some beach days too. This episode highlights the extraordinary design, performance and interior cues that make the Chevy Blazer RS SUV for 2023 quite competitive in the segment. And that's the problem the segment is so competitive that it's easy to get lost in all the good stuff that's out there. That's why we selected this one to specifically be a video as well as a blog that you can also see on the website. So check the video out and leave a comment letting us know what you think. Also give us a subscription support and let us know what other vehicles you'd love to see us review. Don't forget to stay tuned for the upcoming autofocus awards and we will be looking for judges to support that effort.
